Today Mark had an appointment in the morning so he took off work and we were able to spend the day together. That doesn't happen very often because he works full time and if he is home from work, he's sick. Needless to say, he doesn't get very many days off of work in general. We had some time to waste and his appointment was in New Haven, so we walked around for a while. It was such a beautiful day, the sun was shinning so bright. It was so pleasant just to be together, holding hands and walking around. Not knowing where we were going or what we were doing, but that's the best way. I don't get outside much so it was a really fun time for me. When we were finished there, we went to visit his brothers in Hamden. His brother Justin is a little older then him and his brother Nicolas is 6.
Now that Nicolas is out of school for the summer, Justin watches him full time. It was really nice to see them because we don't really get to that often. Man, Nicolas is so smart! He's amazing! He kept correcting me on what kind of fish and sea creatures were in his books or on TV. I picked up his toys and asked him what kind of whales and other animals they were and he knew them all. He's like a little sponge- telling me the whole story of the Titanic and other ships that were in the ocean. We didn't stay that long because I wasn't feeling that well, I wish we could've stayed longer but soon enough we take Nicolas camping or something like that. All and all, we had a great day! How could we not- we were together and with some family, there is nothing better then that!*-Ashley-*
